12: Connecting Receptor to a Computer 159 Receptor Manual
9 Click Next, then click Finish.
Windows creates a new network place and places it in “My Network Places” by default.
10 If you wish, create a shortcut to this new Receptor location on your Windows desktop.
Now, anytime you want to connect to Receptor, you just need to double-click the Receptor shortcut on your desktop.
Windows XP - Method 2
You can also connect with Receptor using this method, which is a bit less elegant, but will work just fine if, for
some reason, you don’t want to create a new Network Place:
1 From the Start menu, right click on “My Network Places” and, from the contextual menu, select the Explore
option.
2 In the Explore window, click “My Network Places” to expand it. Then click “Entire Network,” then
“Microsoft Windows Network.”
3 You should now see a workgroup named “Muse.”
If you do see the Muse workgroup, proceed to step 4.
If you do not see the Muse workgroup, skip step 4 and proceed to step 6.
